The Arch-I-Scan Project is involving volunteers, as Covid-19 health and safety guidelines permit, to assist us in our scanning programmes. Keep an eye on this page as well as on our social media channels to learn of opportunities happening near you. Or, for more general information about how to get involved in our Roman pottery scanning programme, please contact Victoria Szafara at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have specific questions about our research, please see the Arch-I-Scan Project team page for contact details for the appropriate member of the research team.
Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA)
Arch-I-Scan is planning to work at the Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA) in June and September 2022 (exact dates TBA). We are inviting volunteers aged 18 and over to assist with our Roman pottery scanning programme here. Volunteers will be handling and photographing pottery sherds from the MOLA collection, utilising camera phones provided by Arch-I-Scan.
If you are interested in getting involved for even one day of scanning or have any questions, please reach out to Victoria Szafara (email@example.com) for further details and an application form. Preference will be given to volunteers who can commit to full days (10:00-16:00, with a lunch break), although we welcome all applications.
“If you are a fan of archaeology or just history (which I am) then yeah it’s for you. I have been loving it – the people and the project. Everyone has been friendly and professional and made me feel at home.”
